Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies when you use OpenFate websites, accounts, readings, chats, payment flows, shared snapshots, support, and related services. If you do not want this processing, please do not use the service.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the kinds of information needed to run the product. This may include account details such as email, name, login provider, password hash, and reset-code metadata; reading inputs such as birth date, birth time, city, timezone, gender, chart inputs, prompts, chats, saved threads, reports, BZTI results, compatibility details, and shared chart snapshots; payment and access records such as billing customer IDs, subscriptions, point ledger entries, purchases, refunds, and chargeback records; and service data such as ratings, feedback, support emails, referral data, cookies, analytics, device/browser/performance data, capped prompt previews, and AI usage metrics. We do not ask you to provide unrelated government IDs, full payment card numbers, medical records, legal files, or emergency information.

3. Prompts, Reports, and Chat History

We save generated readings, report context, visible chat history, and saved chat threads so the product feels continuous: you can reopen reports, continue a conversation, and manage your reading history. When AI Memory is enabled, OpenFate may extract and store brief facts or preferences you state in chats to personalize future chats and reports. AI Memory is enabled by default and can be reviewed, disabled, or deleted from the AI Memory settings. Please keep prompts focused on OpenFate readings and avoid unrelated sensitive medical, legal, financial, identity, or emergency information.

4. How We Use Data

We use data for practical service purposes: creating charts, reports, and chat replies; saving history and continuing conversations; operating billing, credits, refunds, and subscriptions; sending onboarding, product, and marketing email according to your account preference; reviewing and publishing eligible signed-in written feedback according to your public-feedback preference; helping users through support; preventing fraud, abuse, scraping, and payment misuse; monitoring analytics, performance, reliability, and AI costs; improving the product; and meeting legal, accounting, tax, security, and compliance obligations.

5. Service Providers and AI Processing

OpenFate relies on trusted service providers so the app can log users in, take payments, generate AI responses, measure performance, send email, store data, host the service, protect the platform, and provide support. These providers may include payment processors; large-model and AI infrastructure providers; analytics and performance services; login and identity providers; email providers; databases; hosting; infrastructure; security; and support tools. Relevant prompts, birth/chart data, report context, and usage data may be sent to AI service providers when needed to generate outputs and keep the service reliable. OpenFate is operated from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where these providers operate.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Security

We use cookies and similar technologies for normal app functions such as login sessions, preferences, referrals, billing market selection, security, analytics, performance, and product operation. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Third-party analytics and performance providers may collect limited browser and usage information as described here. We do not currently respond to legacy “Do Not Track” browser signals because there is no uniform industry standard. We protect data with safeguards such as TLS in transit, access controls, provider security controls, and operational monitoring. No internet service can be perfectly secure, but we work to keep access limited and purposeful.

7. Retention

We keep information for as long as it is useful for the service or required for legitimate operational, billing, security, tax, accounting, legal, or dispute purposes. Account data is generally retained while your account exists. Readings and chats are retained until you delete them where available or request deletion. Shared links expire according to their configured expiration. Analytics and admin metrics may be retained for operations unless deleted, aggregated, or anonymized.

8. Your Privacy Rights

You may request access, export, correction, or deletion by emailing hi@openfate.ai. You can permanently delete your account from Settings, delete readings where available, and clear saved chat context from the product. Marketing email and public feedback publication are enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings; marketing email also includes an unsubscribe option. Turning off public feedback publication removes associated public versions and prevents future publication. Some records may be retained where required for billing, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, legal, security, or dispute purposes. Contact support if you cannot use the in-product controls.

9. No Sale and Age Limit

We do not sell personal information. We share information only when needed to operate, protect, support, or comply with the service, including with service providers, legal authorities, payment networks, or professional advisors. OpenFate is for users who are at least 18 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Privacy Context For OpenFate Tools

OpenFate uses the information you provide to make the tools work: birth and chart inputs power readings, account and billing records manage access, and support messages help us solve problems. This privacy policy explains that flow across Bazi, Ziwei Doushu, Western astrology, compatibility, BZTI, Huangli, and subscription workflows.
