How the annual reading is made
What the annual reading needs, what it calculates for the year, which facts it may cite, how the text is planned, written and checked, and what it cannot tell you.
Overview
The annual reading follows your year month by month through your Bazi, Zi Wei Dou Shu and Western charts. The facts are calculated first without AI; the AI plans the reading around them, and every source it cites must be one the calculation produced.
What it needs
- It needs a birth time known to the minute and all three charts; an unreliable time or a missing chart stops it before any writing.
- The saved birth settings, including daylight-saving handling, are used as they are.
- You can ask about the year as a whole, one life area or your own question, and add what is happening and what you are deciding.
- Years from 1900 to 2100 are supported.
What is calculated before any writing
- The Bazi year and luck-pillar spans on 立春 and the solar terms, the Zi Wei yearly transformations and the Western transits of Mars through Pluto are calculated for the year.
- Each month is supported by calculated facts, alongside the year-level context.
- The year runs from 1 January 00:00 to the next 1 January in your time zone.
- The neighbouring years are calculated for comparison only and may not be cited.
Which facts it may use and how they are cited
- The outline may cite only sources produced by the calculation.
- The plan must open with an answer, close with a summary, include a comparison, use all three systems and the year-level facts, and reach the last months of the year.
- Every paragraph records the sources it rests on. A paragraph that compares two months must show a fact that belongs to each month, not one that reaches the next month by only a few hours.
- The text may not write exact dates.
How the text is written and checked
- The plan, the draft and the review are written by AI.
- Checks in code refuse unknown, duplicate or unselected sources, thin paragraphs, dates written by the model, an unmarked comparison, a missing system and a missing late-year fact.
- The review checks grounding, specificity, the arc of the year, relevance to your life, integration of the systems, repetition and your room to act; an issue it raised stays open until the text changes.
- Problems are reviewed and corrected before delivery. If the reading cannot pass the required checks, the charge is refunded.
Saving and follow-up
- The finished reading is saved as it passed the checks and opens the same way later, without recalculation or rewriting.
- The annual reading has no follow-up chat.
How you can check it
- The charts come from the Bazi, Zi Wei and Western engines, which have published verification summaries.
- The year calculation, the source rules, the comparisons and the review loop are covered by OpenFate's own tests. These are our tests, not an independent certification, and the annual fact selection has no public replay of its own.
Membership and payment
- The annual reading requires an active membership and 65 points per report; the points are refunded if the reading cannot pass its checks.
- Payment covers the written reading, not a more accurate chart: the charts come from the same calculation as the free chart tools.
- Current plans, prices and refund terms are on the pricing and terms pages.
Concepts in the Wiki
What it cannot tell you
- It gives no probabilities and does not predict events.
- A calendar year spans two Bazi years, and months and stars are chosen by a limited editorial policy rather than listed exhaustively.
- It does not use solar returns, progressions or the fast transits of the Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus.
- Friends-palace evidence alone may not support a claim about love or marriage.
- It makes no medical diagnosis and no claim of a fixed outcome.
