From birth data to a reading

The calculation fixes the calendar, time, palaces, stars and timing layers before AI interpretation. Start with birth data and settings, then check the Life and Body Palaces, the trine and opposing palaces, Four Transformations, and decade and annual context.

The public record covers 12 palaces, 14 major stars and 34 registered pattern and structure rules. A pattern condition can be met, not met or unknown. Missing information is not favorable evidence. Palace strength scores are OpenFate heuristics, not traditional measurements or probabilities.

Time and school settings

OpenFate declares the Zhongzhou / Wang Tingzhi convention. The birth year, annual cycles and nominal age change at Lunar New Year. Life Master and Body Master use the birth-year branch; these are distinct from the locations of the Life and Body Palaces.

Compare solar versus lunar input, the leap-month flag, coordinates, time-zone offset or IANA zone, daylight saving, true solar time and the day boundary. True solar time can change the two-hour branch. Late Zi time defaults to a 23:00 day change; the midnight option preserves the civil date until 00:00. An unknown birth time must remain disclosed as unknown.

Leap months use the declared split-half convention: the first half follows the preceding month and the second half the next month. Other schools may place the Life Palace or Zi Wei differently. Four Transformations use the declared Wang Tingzhi table; brightness follows the pinned engine tables. A source disagreement remains open until adjudicated.

What an evidence panel establishes

Resident stars and borrowed stars are separate. Natal Four Transformations, palace-stem flying transformations and annual layers must not be interchanged. A rule panel exposes the required conditions, observed facts and failed or unknown conditions.

Career and wealth citations bind each topic to its recorded placement, permitted tendency and qualifications. A valid citation ID does not prove the paragraph is correct. Full synthesis also needs context, contrary evidence and proportionate uncertainty; a star list cannot establish a job, income or future event.

One chart, connected evidence

A synthetic input with a fixed 2026 annual anchor. The two passages are deterministic editorial examples assembled from the displayed catalog, not paid AI reports or expert endorsements. The same record supplies the chart, all 34 condition traces and both chapters in five languages.
