Calculation method
OpenFate does not give everyone with the same Sun sign identical copy. It reads the Bazi, Ziwei, and astrology data available in your saved chart, compares those signals with today’s Chinese almanac, and keeps the source trace visible. The machine result is calculated first; optional AI can explain it but cannot replace the chart facts.
Your saved chart makes the reading personal
Daily Fortune requires a saved OpenFate chart. Depending on that saved report, the daily engine can use Bazi, Ziwei Dou Shu, Western astrology, or multiple available chart systems. It does not infer a complete chart from a zodiac sign or ask AI to fill missing placements.
The saved report is a frozen chart snapshot. Daily reads that snapshot for the selected date rather than silently recalculating an old report with newer chart rules.
Bazi, Ziwei, astrology, and Huangli remain separate
Bazi compares the saved natal structure with dated stem-and-branch signals. Ziwei uses its own palace and time-layer rules. Western astrology compares saved natal placements with calculated daily transits. The Chinese almanac contributes calendar and hour information for the date.
The page records which system supported or cautioned a theme. Similar signals can be useful for reflection, but agreement between symbolic systems is not independent scientific confirmation.
Start with scores and tags, then inspect the chart basis
Read the overall index and the strongest themes first. Select a life area to see its interpretation and change from the previous day, then open the chart evidence. Tomorrow’s full preview (what shifts and why) and the week’s trend are free too; members can also use a month calendar of favorable days to plan further ahead. The index is an entertainment convention, not a probability.
Quiet days, conflicting signals and unavailable data have different labels. A similar score can describe different patterns; the detailed sources preserve those differences.
The date and timezone are part of the result
Daily uses the displayed local timezone for the civil date and current transits. Natal charts retain their saved birthplace basis, and the almanac uses the basis disclosed on the page. The same moment can fall on a different calendar date after a timezone change, so verify the location before comparing results.
Use the visible date and time-basis disclosure when saving notes or returning later. That makes a comparison reproducible instead of relying on a vague idea of “today.”
The core is free; planning and AI tools are for members
You can create a supported chart free, and with an account and a saved chart the core of Daily Fortune is free: five scores for love, career, money, social life, and energy, each with a three-part reading and its chart basis; a full tomorrow preview of what shifts and why; the week’s trend; auspicious hours; the almanac; lucky items; and a morning email with the same content members get.
Members keep the advance-planning and AI tools: a month calendar of favorable days, event timing, a couple view (which needs a three-system Combination Compatibility reading), AI interpretation, and the full wealth-window finder, while free accounts can still see the next exposed-stem Indirect Wealth day. Member tools do not deduct points, and one-time point packs do not unlock them. This is a product boundary, not hidden evidence: member tools offer earlier planning and AI explanation, not a more certain prediction.
Use daily guidance as a prompt, not permission
Translate a symbolic theme into a question you can test: What preparation is missing? Which conversation needs consent? What financial limit applies? What health or safety condition changes the plan? Real evidence remains the decision layer.
A daily horoscope cannot establish that an event will happen. For urgent or high-stakes matters, act on current facts and qualified professional advice regardless of the symbolic timing shown here.
Check the input and settings
Compare the same birth or casting input, calendar, location, time basis and supported calculation settings. Change one supported setting at a time. A house-system change need not change planetary longitudes. New inputs or settings do not rewrite a saved report.
- Combines the available saved BaZi, Ziwei and Western natal sources with a selected civil date and timezone. Missing natal sources remain unavailable rather than being invented.
- Western daily transits use noon in the selected local timezone. The almanac keeps its declared Chinese calendar convention; changing timezone does not turn it into a personal astronomical election.
- Love, career, wealth, social and health use a 0–100 entertainment index with rule traces. An unavailable score is not zero, and no score is an event probability or health measurement.
This product does not currently offer the saved-report deep follow-up workflow. Do not assume the chat capabilities of another product apply here.
Underlying calculation methods
Verification and its limits
These records cover their stated inputs and components. A first-party replay, a classical source, an independent software comparison and a reader evaluation are different kinds of evidence. A natal-chart check does not independently verify a combined or relationship interpretation. No record here establishes prediction accuracy.
Recorded complete example
This is a recorded run using fictional inputs through the named product pipeline. Reader prose, settings, date and limitations are preserved. Internal weights and execution data are omitted; the hash covers public content. It is not a customer testimonial, an independent review or a promise about every future report.
