For entertainment and cultural exploration. A name does not change the birth chart or guarantee life outcomes.
Is the Chinese name generator free?
No. Each AI naming report costs 30 credits on every plan. Credits are reserved when the report starts and charged only once it is saved; if the report is not created, the hold is released (an interrupted hold can take a little time to return). Reopening a saved report is free.
Who is the name for, and what do I need?
Naming needs a profile. Sign in and choose a saved profile, or add one there. If it has an exact birth time, the report uses it for the BaZi reference. Then enter the Chinese surname and choose a one- or two-character given name. Already have a name to analyze? Use name analysis.
Do I need a Chinese surname? Can it translate my English name?
You need a surname in Chinese characters, one or two of them (write a compound surname in full). The tool suggests Chinese given names for that surname; it does not translate or transliterate an English name into Chinese.
Can it tell me what my Chinese name means?
That is what Chinese name analysis is for, on its own page: pick a profile and enter the Chinese surname and given name. The report there explains the meaning of the characters, how the name sounds in Mandarin, how it works in everyday use and how it relates to the BaZi reference, and adds the five grids and Three Talents counted in Kangxi strokes, without pushing you to rename.
How are the names picked and scored?
Candidate names are picked by fixed rules that compare imagery, Mandarin sound, writing effort, shape and style. When the chart gives a clear direction, the BaZi Five Elements are used as a reference. The score in the report is the AI’s subjective overall judgement.
Where does the score in the report come from?
It is a subjective score out of 100 from the AI, based on meaning, sound, everyday use and the BaZi reference, and the report gives the reasons, strengths and drawbacks behind it. It compares names with each other; it is not a measure of a person or their future.
Can it generate male or female Chinese names?
There is no gender switch. The names come from your surname, the name length, the style (Book of Songs, Songs of Chu, Analects, I Ching, Tang and Song poetry, or modern and simple) and any characters you keep or avoid. Your note of up to 200 characters shapes only the report’s explanation, not the names. A style is a preference, not a claim that a name comes from that text.
Does it use BaZi or the Five Elements?
Only when the selected profile has an exact birth time and the chart gives a clear naming direction. The Five Elements are then one of the references used to pick candidate names, and the report explains how each name relates to the chart. If the birth time is unknown or estimated, or the reading of the chart is disputed, the report explains that instead of guessing an element direction.
Is the pronunciation Mandarin or Cantonese?
Mandarin only. Dialect homophones, legal registration rules and how many people share a name are not checked, so confirm those before you register a name.
Where is my report saved, and do the scores change?
The report is saved privately to your account, and reopening it is free. It keeps the scores, BaZi reference and explanations from when it was created; nothing is recalculated when you reopen it.
