OpenFate calculates two Zi Wei Dou Shu charts separately, then compares the relationship evidence produced by its rules: Life and Spouse Palace branch relations, overlaps among the Life, Body, Spouse, and Spirit Palaces (Fu De Gong), Four Transformations landing in the other chart, each person’s Spouse Palace stars, traditional romance-star placements, decade context, and input reliability. The result is a structured reading, not a compatibility score or marriage verdict.
Zi Wei Dou Shu compatibility is most useful when the two natal charts remain visible as separate sources. The reading should first identify what was calculated for each person, then explain the interactions between those facts.
This two-chart approach is sometimes described in English as Zi Wei Dou Shu synastry or Purple Star Astrology compatibility. OpenFate keeps the deterministic chart and comparison evidence first; traditional symbolism and AI explanation come afterward, so each relationship claim is easier to trace and challenge against real experience.
For each person, the birth date, birth time, place, time zone, and school setting must be resolved before a comparison is meaningful. OpenFate preserves the resulting Life Palace, Body Palace, twelve palaces, stars, Four Transformations, and timeline context rather than asking AI to recreate them.
The comparison then uses both frozen charts. It does not merge them into a third chart or flatten the pair into a single number.
